The MACshiatsu Clinic

Shiatsu originated in Japan and is derived from Traditional Chinese Medicine. Shiatsu is based on the principle that vital energy flows throughout the body in a series of channels called meridians and that our health is affected when this energy stops flowing freely. Shiatsu uses touch, comfortable pressure and manipulative techniques to adjust the body’s physical structure and balance its energy flow. It is a deeply relaxing experience and regular treatments can alleviate stress and illness and maintain health and well-being.

In 2013, upon becoming Practitioner members of the Shiatsu Society (MRSS), Clive and Andrew were joined by their good friend Mo and, together, they established a Saturday Shiatsu clinic called The MACshiatsu Clinic, which is based at West Worthing Baptist Church in Worthing, Sussex.

Since that time, we (the MACshiatsu team) have been supported by other good friends from The Shiatsu College - Carol, Catherine, Sue, Ben, Erika and Achako (part of our 'Shiatsu Groovy Gang').

The MACshiatsu Clinic operates between 09.30am - 5.00pm on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month. The treatment charge is based on a suggested donation of £15.

We feel passionate about the benefits that can be derived from Shiatsu and the underlying objective of the MACshiatsu Clinic is to provide high quality, low cost treatments on Saturdays.

In the words of television celebrity, Dr Hilary Jones: “I am pleased to be involved with the Shiatsu Society (UK). Shiatsu is a deeply relaxing experience and regular treatments can maintain health and well-being.  Practitioners registered with Shiatsu Society (UK) have completed three years of professional training in their field.  Look for your local practitioner on the Shiatsu Society website and find out what Shiatsu can do for you.”.

We look forward to seeing you.
